La Flor De Cano

I smoke cigars and am starting a new feature on Slarty’s World. The humidor. Tonight, I smoked a Cuban cigar, La Flor De Cano. It was given to me by a friend who is both a priest and a prime-time partier.

Band

This cigar was OK by me. It was mild and did not really leave me satisfied. It could have been my mood or it could be that it was not a great cigar. I rated it 5 out of 10. I have never had a Cuban cigar that I loved and don’t believe all the hype around them. Still, it is always nice to have a cigar and it is great to have a friend who gives you cigars!

The only way to smoke a cigar is with a good Cognac such as Remy Martin XO

    lol

I would say that that is only one (of many) good way to smoke a cigar. What sort of cigars do you enjoy?

Can’t say that I enjoy Cognac, Corgi- never acquired a tast for it. I spend more time with good port (Sandemans) or strong coffee while enjoying a cigar. My personal favorite right now is the Hoyo 1066 Excal Maduro. It’s a good medium-bodied stick that produces a lot of smoke. My buddy has som El Rey Del Mundo’s that are also pretty nice for their price point.

Personally i can not stand the smell of them but i used to work in a high class resturant and they sent me on all of these wine, whiskey and cigar courses.

Whilst testing alot of the cigars, i mostly enjoyed the Monte Cristo’s

I have been impressed with the inexpensive Saint Luis Reys. Good construction and draw.

    Well! Boys!
I have many favorites! I will share with you my top 4!

    (1) La Gloria Cubana “R” Series #7 it runs about $12-$13 Its full, meaty and moist, and full of great flavor! Not for Panzys!
    (2) Joya De Nicaragua It runs about $6-$7 Flavors you could never emagine!
    (3) Rocky Patel “The Edge” “Light” Great cigar for early in the day! Great flavor just right! Not to Bold Hence LIGHT! $7-$8
    (4) Factory Derect “Dominican Torpedo” It runs about $5 and in my eyes the best kept little secret! It has a Dominican wraper with Honduran filler! Simply yummy! At a great price! Only place to find them is at Golden Leaf Lmtd. For some reason some other stores dont carry them!

  7. Michael says:

I can personally attest to the quality of the Factory Direct Dominican torpedos from Golden Leaf. GREAT smoke for the buck!

I think they hooked me up with one of those last week, I am smoking it right now and it is very nice. Plus at a nice price. Without a label or a band, this cigar needs to have an introduction.
