Being offended is not what it used to be

I have given some more thought to the whole “Sarah Palin as a VP choice offends me, ” topic that I posted about a few days ago. Since that post we now have a furor over Obama making a crack about putting lipstick on a pig, and how this has apparently offended the McCain camp.
I don’t think either party was offended by either of these comments. Either that or being offended is not what it used to be. Our society is getting so fucking boring. No one can say anything salacious or outside of the box without being labeled as something. Let it out, let’s live in an interesting and engaged world. Rather than a world of hidden meanings and Minnesota nice.
You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

Yeah, I thought that was totally stupid. Even McCain said he didn’t think it was offensive or supposed to be offensive. It’s exactly what you’d expect from Fiorina though. This election year is such a huge joke.
Electrions are broken at the primaries if you ask me. The major contenders knock each other out in the primaries and we’re left with the fringe candidates for the general election. Happens almost every time in at least one or both parties. The whole system needs a major overhaul.
Yea, I definitely don’t feel as though the process has or will produce a President that will make most voters happy. Maybe the federal government has grown too large for a one size fits all President.
