Who/What the hell is Bad Horse?

So I have utterly failed on my personal challenge of proposing questions and then investigating the questions and coming to a conclusion. Part of the of the problem is that I chose a bad question as my first question. One that is wrapped in political nastiness.

I am surrounded by tree huggers, socialists, religious conservatives, and Ron Paul supporters. (I guess this implies that I don’t belong to any of these groups). I empathize with many of their views and yet they all contradict each other. I have no idea how to reconcile this, but I have feel like the blog format I have been goofing around with is not exactly what I need to satisfy my curiosity.

A traditional blog is so me-centric. I post a topic and the readers comment. If I post 10 posts and you comment on a post that is 11 items old, it is lost. I need a hybrid of a blog and a discussion board. So if I post about something that interests me and there is discussion about it, it stays at the top of the blog. Maybe other folks that have a certain amount of slarty-cred could post articles from out in the world that bully their point and these posts get added to the original thread. Something better should be created – not sure what – but it needs to happen.

Lastly, I have created a forum. I think it might be a better format for figuring out some of this shit.
