Brad Mahldau is fantastic – props to Craig for introducing me to him.
We have a new aircraft carrier – the George H. W. Bush. I thought you should know.
I shared a bottle of 2003 Clos Du Val Cabernet Sauvignon – great. I remebered when I tasted in Napa, that it needed to sit out a bit, it was a hit. (A little searching on the internet and I found I could have bought it much cheaper, but it was fun “shopping” for it. Revison to this – it turns out that the good deals are for half bottles, good idea, plus I enforces that I did not get completely ripped off.)
It really bugs me when people with strong personalities speak so confidently about things they are wrong about. I may have a strong personality, but one thing that I know is that I am often wrong, so I will rarely proclaim something with utmost certainty, even if I am certain. This happened to me at the garden store today when I asked a young woman if they had any garlic bulbs to plant. She confidently stated, “we have no garlic, because you plant it in the spring.” Totally wrong. Irritating. After stopping at 3 gardens stores, I got the advice to get an organic clove and break it apart to plant it. I will plant it tomorrow. Woo Hoo. Fresh garlic next June.
Jack Nicholson is about to turn 70.
iWow appears to be worth its price as an iTunes audio enhancement. It sounds good and and has a fun interface.
